Nim is a full-cycle AI video production platform. Unlike other companies in the space (OpenAI, Runway, Pika, Luma) we don’t train our foundational model but build a model-agnostic workspace that brings together the latest foundational and specialized models along with reusable asset ecosystem, collaboration tools, and scriptwriting assistant.
Nim has completed a yet-to-be-announced round from top-tier venture funds and angels.
About the role
For the next few months, our goal is to find the core “who + what + how”: a narrow segment of AI video creators, a specific content genre, and a set of features that streamline video creation in that genre. We are looking for the core with urgent demand, exceptional retention, ability to pay, and sufficient volume to support $1M+ ARR in the near future.
Your role is to rapidly test different acquisition channels and growth loops, experiment with various narrow creator segments, content genres, and onboarding flows.
Responsibilities
- Creator acquisition (full ownership)
- Maintain prioritized list of acquisition ideas and experiments
- Keep an eye on acquisition tactics of comparable companies
- Produce content for acquisition campaigns, including demos and tutorials
- Run acquisition experiments, including press, influencers, external communities, email outbound, events, and other commonly-used channels in our space
- Focus on just 1-3 experiments each week. You aren’t responsible to operationalize any channel or do a perfect job with them until we choose which channels to invest in
- [In future] Build robust acquisition channels and user communications after we identified our core use cases and ready to scale up
- Growth loops (in partnership with product team)
- Develop product-based growth loops, including invites, content sharing, and watermark
- Develop custom onboarding flows and special-purpose landing pages
- Product marketing (in partnership with CEO)
- Maintain our map of creator segments, use cases, pain points, and creation workflows
- Iterate on positioning and value proposition, including specialized messaging for narrow creator segments
Expectations
In your first 2 weeks at Nim, you will:
- Quickly familiarize yourself with Nim platform and meet our top users
- Build a prioritized list of experiments, segments, channels, and growth loops to test
- Run and measure your first acquisition campaigns
In your first 3 months at Nim, you will:
- Build a repeatable process to plan, run, and measure new experiments
- Run at least one experiment with invites, user sharing, press, influencers, tutorials, demos, external communities, events, and other commonly used channels in our field
- Run 10-30 experiments in total
- Help us identify Nim’s core creator segment, content genre, and primary workflow
